LdnOnt LOAF

LOAF has a server running Nextcloud, the self-hosted collaboration platform, for London, Ontario. The Nextcloud instance is hosted on a private server at OVH in Montreal.

ldnont.loaf.group

An account is required to use the ldnont.loaf.group server.

Users with accounts are able to create limited guest accounts.

To register for an account please simply click "Register" on the login page: https://ldnont.loaf.group/login. Please note that accounts require approval.

If you would like an @loaf.group email address to use instead of your personal email, please use one of the following ways to connect with server admins:

• Request account form on ldnont.loaf.group
• Loafing public group chat on ldnont.loaf.group

Nextcloud features

Nextcloud is a web application that you can access through a web browser like Chrome or Firefox. There are also mobile apps (see below).

The Nextcloud interface is simple and easy to use. Along the top of the page is a row of icons for various apps for Nextcloud.

Using the ldnont.loaf.groupyou can:

• Create group chats with voice/video calls with Zoom like features.
• Share files and collaboratively edit documents with an integrated office suite.
• Create and share events on the calendar.
  • Use groupware features like invitations, RSVPs, attendees etc.
• Synchronize your calendar, contacts, and important files on multiple devices.
• Create guest accounts for sharing and collaboration with anyone.
  • Guest accounts can be upgraded to full accounts.
• Create activist communities with the Nextcloud Collectives app.
• Create and share custom forms.
  • Responses from Forms can be collated into spreadsheets.
• Track project expenses with the CoSpend app.
• Share secrets securely.
• Access the Maps app without your data going to Big Tech.

Nextcloud Mobile and Desktop apps

You can install the free, no-ads Nextcloud client apps on your phone and connect them to your ldnont.loaf.group account.
